Missions

First Baptist Church strives to engage in missions work locally, nationally, and globally.

Annual Missions Offering

Each quarter, First Baptist collects offerings to impact local, associational, national, and global missions. During each emphasis, congregants are provided with opportunities to not only give but serve in these important areas of ministry. Our church has a monthly mission project that aligns with the quarterly offerings collected.

Women on Mission

Women on Mission meet regularly to provide ways for our church to be involved in local ministries.  In the fall the church is invited to create toiletry bags for our local migrant workers.  Women on Mission also support CCAP and the Salvation Army as well as planning larger church-wide events such as Rise Against Hunger.

WATTS

(Winchester Area Temporary Thermal Shelter)

Each year First Baptist serves as a host church for WATTS for a week in the Winter. This community-wide ministry provides shelter, food, and a safe place to stay to our unhoused population. We are thankful for the opportunity to love our neighbors in this way.

White Christmas

For over 90 years First Baptist has been reaching out to the community at Christmas to provide gifts and assistance to families in need. Each year we help hundreds of families to celebrate Christmas together by providing food and gifts.

Missions Team

Our missions team ensures that the church is actively supporting missionaries and engaging in missions work.

Through three-year cycles of partnerships, our church is able to work closely with missionaries near and far to invest in and participate in their particular ministries.  We thank God for the opportunities to serve in these important ways.
